About Me

Hi All! Welcome to my tiny corner of the world wide web. My name is Nisha, I’m a California gal through and through, looking for any opportunity to hit up a farmers market. I’m a professionally trained chef and have worked at some of the best Michelin restaurants in San Francisco. I’m obsessed with all things food! From how seed starts in April turn into plumpy tomatoes in July to the best bench scraper to cradle a sourdough boule to trying 128,749 types of viral pizza dough recipes. My goal is to share my knowledge and get you guys excited and into the kitchen to try something new!

A little bit about me: I’m a Gujarati (Indian) American blessed to be surrounded by the best home cooks in the world- my mom and my mother-in-law. I’m a mom of two—a baseball player and a gymnast turned pole vaulter – and a soon to be empty nester with my tech-geek-by-day-bartender-by-night husband.

After working two decades as an engineer I decided to indulge my passion for food and attend culinary school, trading in my algorithms and equations for recipes and ingredients. The creative energy I felt working in the kitchen day after day made me realize it was time for a new chapter so I resigned from my comfy tech job and started over in the food world.

Thank you again for stopping by my little corner of the internet and cooking along with me! It means the world to share my passion for food with you, and I hope my recipes inspire you to try something new in the kitchen. I’d love to hear from you—whether it’s questions, comments, or just musings on food and life. Drop me a message anytime! Happy cooking!
